小屋番三六五日

雪が解けて山に春が訪れはじめると各地から山開きや小屋開けのニュースが届きます。日帰りの山登りも手軽でよいですが、山に一泊するとさらに素晴らしい経験ができます。初めて山小屋に泊まる方はびっくりしてしまうこともあるかもしれませんが・・・？山で過ごす夕暮れの時間と日の出の時間はとても素敵です。山がゆっくり赤く染まっていくその様をアーペントロート（Abendrot）とかモルゲンロート（Morgenrot）と言ったりもします。夕方の赤と朝の赤、同じ赤でも色合いが違います。

また、１日ではいけないようなところへも山小屋を使うことによってたどりつけるのです。２日も３日もかけて歩いてしかいけないところ。いったいどんなところなのでしょうね？

この本は山小屋の番人達のお話が５５話つまっています。厳しい自然と限られた資源でその設備環境の維持には並々ならない苦労があります。登山客を迎え入れては送り出す。そんな繰り返しの中にも人と人とのドラマがあります。いつもそこにある山小屋で移ろいゆく自然や人はどのように見えるものなのでしょうか。

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
